Hilfe Services conducts person centred Functional Capacity Assessment services for children. This is provided by one of our occupational therapists who are passionate about working alongside participants and their parents or guardians to report on function.
Service Description
Assessment Procedure
The occupational therapist will assess the capacity of a child in the completion of their everyday tasks across a range of domain areas in accordance with developmental milestones
Information Gathering Procedure
The occupational therapist will attempt to acquire all relevant information available. This involves discussions with associated stakeholders and establishing a medical history.
Reporting Procedure
The occupational therapist will report upon all relevant information gained through assessment to argue the necessary level of support required from the NDIS to ensure the child reaches developmental milestones.

Location
The occupational therapist will assess the child in person in home environment, at a mutual location or where the child feels most comfortable. Alternatively, the therapist can conduct the assessment or virtually through an interview format with some formal and informal assessment.
